Okay, I decided to get back on myspace (for the third time) ONLY to get the word out there about my blog. It's easy to get "friends" on there and it's usually easy to find your real friends & sometimes it's a little too easy for people to find YOU! I left this last time because being that we are alive at such a significant time for human existence, I was tired of all the superficial, ego-driven energy coming from myspace. Anyway- I decided to join again a few days ago & of course- I see now that they have added politics to one of there categories. Uh Duh!!! Finally Tom! I mean we only vote next month! How long has this campaigning been going on? But that's not what is triggering this blog-NOW that I'm back-I CAN'T EVEN LOG ON!!!! Are you kidding me? All this myspace technical error crap. C'mon now. I really don't want to have to join boring a*s Facebook again!

(Untitled) The Chosen Few
I stand on the roof
And look down at the town
With my riverfront view
Even the water is brown
Noise & chaos surrounds me
I wish not for a sound
I close my eyes for a minute
To make my heartbeat slow down
They talk so loud
But I don't hear a thing
Everyday I tell myself
That today I'll be clean
I learn everyday
Folks are not what they seem
The darkness moves over to shadow my gleam
I was dead
I mean I moved & I walked & I talked
But at that three o'clock hour
In my mind I felt stalked by my faults
Before I knew it
It seemed nothing was clear
I see a reflection of myself
But am I really here?
I got lost in it
I got lost in you
And for a little minute
My perception was askew
I know that I don't know
What it is I thought I knew
Longing to be part of
And among the chosen few
And look down at the town
With my riverfront view
Even the water is brown
Noise & chaos surrounds me
I wish not for a sound
I close my eyes for a minute
To make my heartbeat slow down
They talk so loud
But I don't hear a thing
Everyday I tell myself
That today I'll be clean
I learn everyday
Folks are not what they seem

Well Put John Lewis!
I just finished reading The Buzz on Yahoo. Something I normally don't do unless a headline grabs my attention and today's headline began with the McCain/Palin party not having "a stellar weekend" like Brittany (oh brother). Anyway, the article goes on to say how John Lewis, a civil rights figure and someone who McCain himelf once recognized as one of the three wise people he'd consult as president, condemned their campaign for "sowing seeds of hatred and division". How eloquently put-especially considering that outbursts like "Kill Him" & "He's (Obama) a terrorist!" have been shouted out at the recent Republican rallies. I heard one man, as he was surrounded by a sea of geriatric caucazoids say that "he (Obama) is not one of us". What the *%$ is that supposed to mean. Just come out & say it, ya know-like you were at your kitchen table. I'm just ESTATIC that true colors are beginning to show...and all this time you thought black people were paranoid and unjustifiably "angry". I hope some of you Obabma haters don't go postal if he wins. We don't need a larger scaled Jena 6 happening - America the Beautiful. To all you nut jobs out there: Keep it together. He's only half Negro!

The New "Bush's" Coin
Call me late but I just got an e-mail that on the new coin, the phrase "In God We Trust" is omitted. Ummm...had any other president suggested this omittion it might not seem so scary-but it does make sense to have this happen during the spawn of satan's reign. But after all, we are a country where God is refered to by different names-So maybe someone was offended by the term. Anyway-the American coin should say: In Currency We Trust. And we can't even say that anymore. Maybe In Greed or Oil We Trust. Oh gosh-I have so many ideas! Good luck everyone!

In Reference to the Blog Below...
...That is not to take away from the fact that given our history-we've become a nation where it is possible for a black man to run for president (granted -if you really think about it, that is such a trivial & superficial topic to secretly and for some, openly focus on). Why wouldn't, shouldn't or couldn't a black PERSON or any other PERSON run for president? It's silly really.

Sorry But...Not Thrilled by Either Candidate
I just heard a loud gasp. Look-my apologies to the appalled but naturally I don't agree with McCain/Palin, I mean they are really from worlds I hope to never be able to relate to. John McCain was born in 1936-in America I might add-1936...America...Not sure how opened minded he's become in his lifetime but then again, I don't know him personally. Palin has not been around enough diversity for me to accept her as vice president. Honestly some Caucasian people in so-called "high" positions like that scare me because they thrive off fear which is driven by ignorance. Basically they can't relate, don't know how to deal-so they don't. People of color don't really have that luxury in this country although times are changing quickly in terms of actually seeing more people of color. As far as the content connected to these people of color, well I think there is much room for improvement (BET!).
Now when it comes to Obama-I'm just not convinced that he is "the great bi-racial hope". Most of my opinions are stemming from my gut-but to me, it appears as if he is playing a role. I'm sure he means well-but just like Hilary, I feel like under enough pressure, he could be easily swayed on certain issues. I'm just not feelin' either one. It's really a shame we believe that these are our only two options for a decent existence. The American citizens well being & quality of life left in the hands of one of two human beings. Neither of them putting true humanity first. BUT having the proverbial gun to my head-that gun being EVERYONE, I would choose Obama-but being that I haven't been convinced by either candidate or by my peers, I can proudly say as an American: IT'S TIME FOR A REVOLUTION! Look it up.

Hey Look What I Found (without even looking)! I Smell a Revolution!
It's amazing what happens when you type in the phrase "baby daddy"- a phrase that I loathe by the way-but somehow this sh*t ended up in front of my eyes: World’s dumbest criminals…are generally black. Followed by other comments and headlines that read as such: Racially motivated killing of White Nigbama campaigner/Savage Niggers Accused Of Killing Woman In Westport Investigators/Baby daddy holding a niglet shoots someone on a bus after chimpout."We don’t need more gun control we need more nigger control""Niggers and violence go hand and hand! >:("
I read all these "intelligent" comments from some page called http://www.detroitiscrap.com/. Now I know I should not be promoting the website of these NEANDERTHALS but hey-them displaying their ignorance just proves my point. Poor white people-some of y'all just don't know how to think anymore do you? I'll pray for your enlightenment-but until then-Thank you- You've made my mission that much easier! Oh yeah, Baby! Racism still exists for all of you who dwell in denial. VIVA LA REVOLUCION! & POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Since We're Not Really Separating Church and State...
Since religion somehow keeps creeping into this election whether it be from Reverend Wright to Sarah Palin's exorcism, I am reminded of a verse from the New Testament:
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" ~Ephesians 6:12
I'd be wrong if I didn't blog about anything electoral. Though honestly, I wish the day (November 4th) would come & go already. I'm anxious to see what happens next. Anyway-after routing for a third party, I am now leaning even more toward Barack, becoming more convinced in the recent weeks. Sarah Palin just seems frightening. She reeks of ignorance. Although I've never been to Alaska, I have a feeling there's not much diversity (around 3-4% statistics show) and she can't help what she doesn't know-literally. I'm sure I don't need to go on about how wrong she AND McCain would be for America but then I guess that depends on which America we are talking about. Yet another war seems to be in the process of creation and that is the war against the rich and the poor. Let's wake up people. After this recent bailout bull-Ralph Nader spoke of a revolt by the taxpayers seeing as we are the ones bailing out these rich SOB's! I say Right On to the Revolution people! We have way more power than we think. There is strength in numbers. Don't be defeated!
