The first time I saw Lady Gaga perform was on American Idol. Prior to that I couldn't figure out what the big deal was about her. I mean her outfits just appeared to be thrown together for shock effect and she looked a little bit like Madonna who I grew up on and absolutely love, so naturally I figured she was a wannabe. It wasn't until I saw her on American Idol that I realized how strong her voice was (a one up on Madonna) which got my attention but wasn't enough to keep it. At first glance her music sounded too "dance poppy" for me, that is until I heard an interview in which she described the meaning of her song "Poker Face"-the face she tried to keep in bed with a man while fantasizing about women. I thought that was funny. I was intrigued. After seeing her name on the most downloaded list like everyday on VH1 and I decided to youtube a few live performances and stumbled upon more interviews of hers like with Oprah (my girl) and Ellen (yay) and came to understand of the artistic space she allows herself and her fans, or "little monsters" as she refers to them and that there is a method to what may appear to be the madness of her outfits.
I myself am now a little monster though maybe not as die hard as some. One cannot deny her talents. Big ups to Lady Gaga who has also been apart of many hip hop collaborations. Viva La Musical Evolution!

Love "The way I see it"...But i can't say i really love LGG. She is different so that i LIKE but the people and the media (for me) played her out....It's like she is being drilled in. Yes when the songs come on (not all of them) the radio i sing to them. Buying her album will not happen. The first time i saw her was when she performed on the Hills and she had a little malfunction with her outfit. The performance was good but I said to myself "Here's another 1 hit wonder" I congratulate her on her success. Not a total hater here!
